My Favourite Yves Saint Laurent Fashion Collection

Of all the iconic Yves Saint Laurent fashions featured in the film Yves Saint Laurent, my favorite was Yves' first Dior collection because he modernized Christian Dior's designs. Yves created a fluid silhouette for clothing, used less fabric, and started a new phenomenon of sheer blouses, looser dresses, and made edgier, sensual clothing for the modern woman.
It was a new beginning, especially in the 1950s. Women desired freedom, and Yves gave them the fashion to stand out. Conservative people disagreed with Yves' mindset. Some critics even called Yves crazy for it. Yves struggled with his mental health throughout his youth and adulthood. While he was staying at a psychiatric hospital, his former boss took the opportunity to fire Yves and hired someone else.
Yves started his fashion brand after that. Yves collaborated with business partners to launch Yves Saint Laurent, the new fashion house. He successfully changed how society viewed women by creating clothes that stood out from the average 1950s French housewife. Yves Saint Laurent's clothes empowered women, sensualized women, gave women confidence, and inspired women to stand out from the lackluster crowd through fashion.
That was the power and the magic of Yves. He understood what women wanted. He understood that he could not change how most of society perceived him, but he could make ethereal clothes to express the freedom women so deeply craved. Yves was a mastermind, an artist, and an extraordinary visionary.
