What Skiers Are Wearing At Blue Mountain

I enjoy skiing at Blue Mountain in Palmerton, Pennsylvania. I also notice the fashionable clothing skiers and snowboarders wear!

The apparel brands I see most often are Rossignol, Spyder, Helly Hansen, Oakley TheNorthFace, Columbia, 686, Obermeyer, Burton, Montec, Black Diamond, Roxy, Kari Traa, Quiksilver, Patagonia, REI Co-op, Arc’Teryx, Arctix, Flylow, and once in a blue moon, Moncler or Canada Goose.

People love wearing bright, vivid colors while skiing to increase visibility to others. Nobody likes being crashed into by a snowboarder. I can attest to that horrifying experience! A skier has never bumped into me, no hate to snowboarders.

An ongoing trend in ski apparel is pastels such as baby blue, orange, pink, lavender, lime green, banana yellow, tie-dye, and fun patterns to stand out. Everyone is serving looks everywhere on the mountain.

Popular color combinations are blue/black, pink/black (my fit), orange/green, orange/yellow, pink/purple, purple/black, green/yellow, red/orange, and lavender/blue, Beginner skiers are hardcore fans of the white on white outfit. White blends in with the snow, so other skiers might not see someone dressed in white and could bump into them.

Most people match their ski helmet color to their clothes. It creates a sleek and chic look. Be prepared for anything while skiing. Dress stylishly and look both ways while skiing!

This year, I’ve noticed a definite increase in Arc’Teryx jackets. They’ve become likable on TikTok. It is a trend I will not buy into as I wear Burton, Roxy, TheNorthFace, Columbia, Rossignol, and Obermeyer. I am loyal to these brands. They have never failed me before.
