My Style Has Evolved

I consider myself to be an ever-evolving fashionista. I recently cleaned out my closet and realized how many items I no longer wear. I saw the amount of clothes that I now view as cheugy. I no longer want to wear unfashionable clothes. I am selling some of my clothes on Depop, username @ellenxofashion. Feel free to browse through my collection and purchase what you might like!
I wore many mini skirts in my teenage years but now prefer longer skirts and minidresses if I dress up. I no longer wear short skirts or crop tops. I dislike the way synthetic fabric feels on my skin. I now purchase garments made from cotton, wool, silk, and natural blends. I refuse to wear clothing made of mostly nylon, polyester, and other manmade fabrics.
Fabric content is crucial to the way a garment will perform. For instance, a polyester crewneck will not keep you warm like a cashmere or merino wool sweater.
As a ski girl, I know all too well the pain of being cold on a ski lift or while skiing down a mountain trail. I recommend buying quality clothing that will last you at least five years. Synthetic clothing is not made to last. That means you are throwing money away by purchasing clothing made from low-quality fabrics.
Quince, Uniqlo, Nordstrom, Bloomingdales, Cos, Saks, J. Crew, and Kari Traa are notable brands/retail stores that sell quality natural-fiber clothing at reasonable prices. Black Friday sales are going on now, so get a great deal on wool clothing for this winter!
I am searching for long wool coats, a sturdy trench coat, tailored trousers, and leather loafers. A good shopper is always on the prowl for something amazing. My style has changed from following preppy trends in high school to creating my dream wardrobe. I believe in classic interchangeable pieces.
Cristobal Balenciaga had the right idea when he launched his first collection with mix-and-match pieces, selling out everything in just one day. I think fashion trends will always intersect and reemerge from the past. Follow your heart when you organize your closet.
